How to Grow Your Facebook Audience Quickly (Without Feeling Like You’re Talking to Yourself!)

Grow your Facebook audience fast with simple strategies! Create engaging content, go LIVE, invite followers, and boost visibility—no more talking to yourself!
Growing a Facebook audience can feel a lot like talking to nobody… for a while. Building an audience is like that. No quick fix. No instantly finding thousands of your perfect ideal customer.
But… it’s not all bad news (really, it’s not). Because with the right strategies, you can attract and engage the right people. Your future customers and subscribers.
Today I have six simple but powerful ways you can build your Facebook audience–fast.
Produce Quality Content… Consistently
If your content doesn’t stop the scroll, people won’t stick around. It’s that simple.
Share value-driven content with your audience. Take them behind the scenes of your business. Create posts that spark engagement and conversation. Remember, as a small business owner, the ability to create community is your superpower. Use it!
Don’t post just to post. Instead, think about what your ideal customer wants to see. What are they thinking, feeling, and doing today, this week, this month? Lean into that!
Connect with your audience. Invite them into your community and the world of your subscription box. Share a sneak peek of next month’s box, the story of your “why,” or an unboxing video.
Most importantly, be consistent. You cannot build an audience on Facebook–or any social media platform–without being consistent. Check out this blog post for a simple social media strategy you can follow.
Engage with Your Audience
Facebook knows what it wants. And the good news is that it’s not shy about telling us what it wants.
Facebook wants engagement. It rewards engagement.
That means the more people interact with your posts, stories, and videos, the more other people will see them.
How can you get people to engage with your posts?
- Ask questions! People LOVE to share their opinions and experiences.
- Encourage comments and respond to every one, even simple “love it” responses.
Don’t just wait for engagement. Initiate and encourage it by commenting on other people’s posts and in groups where your ideal customer hangs out.
Invite People to Follow You
It seems obvious, but… People won’t follow your page if they don’t know it exists!
Make it easy for people to find you.
- Make sure a direct link to your Facebook page is in every email, your Instagram bio, and your website footer.
- Ask your current subscribers and email list members to follow you on Facebook—especially if they love your box.
A simple CTA–“Follow us on Facebook for exclusive sneak peeks and giveaways!”–can work wonders.
Go LIVE!
You know how important it is to go LIVE. I talk about it all the time - inside Launch Your Box, on the Launch Your Box Podcast, and here on the blog.
I’m not the only one who thinks going LIVE is super important. Facebook agrees with me! They prioritize LIVE videos—that means more people finding you, engaging with you, and getting to know you and your subscription box!
Going LIVE can be super casual. Take your audience behind the scenes on packing day or answer common questions about your subscription box. Don’t overthink it!
Every month, do a LIVE unboxing. This is a GREAT way to engage with subscribers and non-subscribers (hello, FOMO!). Learn more about what makes a great unboxing LIVE in this blog post.
You don’t need fancy equipment to go LIVE! Good lighting, a steady camera, and a plan for what you’ll talk about is all it takes.
LIVEs are a fantastic way to get engagement. Ask questions throughout your LIVE and encourage viewers to comment. Remember to come back and respond to their comments, including those who catch the replay later!
Invite People From Your Personal Facebook Page
Your warmest audience may be closer than you think. I’m talking about the people who already know, like, and trust you—your personal Facebook friends.
Create a simple, sincere post like: “Hey, everyone! I’ve been working hard on my subscription box business and I’m so excited to share it with all of you! I’d love for you to check it out–just follow [page name] to keep up with all the fun and exciting things happening in my business!”
You know your friends best. Take time to personally invite those who might be interested in your page or business.
You can also share posts from your business page to your personal page. Do this only when it makes sense and take care not to overdo it!
Run a Facebook Page Like Ad
Looking to speed up your growth? One of the fastest ways to grow your audience is with a small ad budget.
Running a simple page like ad can help you attract new followers. These ads are designed to help find your people.
You can target people interested in subscription boxes and fans of small businesses or products related to your niche.
You do not need to spend a lot of money. In fact at this stage of your business, I don’t recommend it! Spending as little as $5 a day can help bring in new, engaged followers. The kind that turn into customers and eventually subscribers!
Don’t wait for people to find your subscription box business Facebook page! Be proactive and take action to grow your audience. Focus on quality content, engagement, and building community.
